Poetry –
is is everything
of feeling
of passions
of defined
and yet undefined
of love
of hate
of humor
of sadness
of loss
of conquest
of everything
that can and has
ever been felt
an entire history of
emotions
and it is nothing
if not absorbed
like the food
and wine
from the plates
from the Gods Table
and digested for the
soul
“Beauty is unbearable, drives us to despair, offering us for a minute the glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch out over the whole of time.”
Beauty is one of our basic needs to stay alive ~ without it we are psycho. We become manic and mad, and take all sorts of medications to ease the pain…
You are, of course, completely correct. But sometimes the madness & the medication can be the parents of new beauties, which then drive us further beyond reason (hence the quote from Camus) & to create again, & again & again. To make it never stop…..
